Restoring system information
Restoring system information (System State or Shadow Copy Components) involves copying specific files from a Protection Server back to a Business Server.
Note:
|
You should not restore system information to servers other than the server from which the information was originally backed up. Redirecting system information restores to other servers will have unpredictable results.
|
System Information is captured once every four hours at 3:05 A.M., 7:05 A.M., 11:05 A.M., 3:05 P.M., 7:05 P.M., and 11:05 P.M. If you attempt to restore System State data at or near these same times, the restore may fail because a System State restore does not interrupt a System State data capture that is in progress. In this case, the System State restore jobs should be started well before or about 10 minutes after the backup times.
